Pack like a pro for your road trips with kids!

Road trips scream fun for all the family! But without adequate preparation they can include screaming kids and pose a risk to parent’s sanity!

Here’s our list to ensure you prep and pack like a pro for the road trip with the kids:

• Entertainment.  For I-Pads, game consoles, music players, and headphones – and don’t forget the chargers! Whilst you can play games with kids in the car such as eye spy, letting them entertain themselves quietly with a movie or a games console may be easier at times when you need to concentrate on driving.
• First aid kit. What’s worse than bored kids on a road-trip? Sick bored kids! Pack a first aid kit with the essentials, painkillers, Band-Aids, hydrolytes.
• Pillows and blankets. The worse thing about all travelling in one car is that everyone’s body temperature is different. Be armed with blankets so that if the kids get a little cold they can rug up rather than having to crank the heating up! Also pack a few pillows so that they can enjoy a comfortable nap.
• Activity books. Puzzles and colouring in books are good ways to keep the kids entertained on the road and at rest stops.
• Water bottles. Don’t let dehydration ruin your vacation! There is nothing worse than being thirsty on a road trip with no shop in sight. Pack plenty of water bottles to keep your thirst quenched on your trip.
• Snacks.  The key to keeping everyone happy on the road, plenty of snacks! Take lots of healthy snacks such as fruit and nuts to keep the kids fuller for longer.
• Wet wipes. Wipes are handy for wiping sticky fingers, cleaning up spills and also freshening up after a long drive!

It may seem like a comprehensive list but being prepared will ensure you get your family holiday off to the right start and enjoy a happy, fun and relaxing road-trip!
